Why UK?

The UK is a much-preferred destination for international students when it comes to various study abroad programs. Climate

The United Kingdom has a relatively temperate climate, with mostly cool temperatures and abundant rain the whole year-round. The weather in the United Kingdom can be quite unpredictable and is rarely extreme. In summer, i.e. from January to August, the average temperatures range from 9-19 degrees Celsius. During extreme heat waves, the temperatures can reach as high as 30 degrees Celsius. During winter, i.e. from December to February, the average temperatures in the United Kingdom are around 2-7 degrees Celsius. Occasionally, temperatures drop below 0 degrees Celsius.

Requirements to study

All academic and travel documents, including mark sheet and certificates/ degree from class X onwards to date.

Qualify minimum English language proficiency requirement

  • Minimum language proficiency requirement for Diploma/UG/PG Courses: IELTS: Overall 5.5 to 6.5 respectively.
  • TOEFL between 80-100.

For MBA admission a good score in GMAT is required.

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP)
  • Prove sufficient funds for airfare, course fee and accommodation costs

Cost of education

Education in the UK is relatively expensive.  The tuition fee may vary according to the course and the University you choose to study at. The education expanse ranges from £12,000 to £30,000 annually.

Cost of living

An average cost of living is from £450 to £900 per month. In London it is higher than the rest of UK.

Scholarships

Institutions in the UK offer many scholarships options for international students who are willing to pursue their higher education in the country. The students get immense opportunities to qualify for scholarships at all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate and even Ph.D. programs. The UK government offers many scholarships, bursaries, and additional financial support to students from several countries. 

Intakes

There are two intakes in UK Universities September – October intake and January – February intake. April- May intake for a few courses.

Work rights, Stayback & PR

20 hours per week (40 hours during vacation) full time work rights for spouses for Masters Program. According to the latest update by British Council, from 1st Jul’21 international students who have completed UG or master’s degree will be given two years of post-study work permit after studies, and student completing PhD can stay for three years after studies.
